Ben Bateman

Games are great! Playing them, making them, bringing people together and creating unforgettable experiences - what's not to love? I'm a lucky engineer of this digital theme park who likes to help build some of its craziest rollercoaster. Whether that's trekking knee-deep in numbers, JIRA cards and gantt charts, or collaborating with fans to make their loved games the best they can be, I can always be found with a smile on my face.

Formerly I was Head of Community for the online games distributor Green Man Gaming, supporting their retail channels, publishing label, and their community platform, Playfire. But I've also served the great people at Square Enix, Codemasters, and SEGA.

I can usually be found climbing upside-down, à la Spider-Pig, at one of London's numerous bouldering centres.

This simple platformer was my first entry into a 72-hour game jam, and a solo effort. With the theme set as 'An Uncoventional Weapon' you take the role of Bessy, a cow who's had enough. Shooting milk from her udders and whipping her tail, Bessy must escape the farm in record time. Read here for more.
